Opening and Parade

The festival opened with a performance by the Zielona Góra Philharmonic titled "Oscary wśród winorośli" ("Oscars among the vines"), bringing film music to the heart of wine country.

A highlight of every Winobranie is the colourful parade. In 2026 it was called "Korzenie i liście" ("Roots and leaves") and was directed by Cezary Molenda, celebrating the city's traditions and its connection with the vine.

Why Zielona Góra Loves Wine

Zielona Góra, in the Lubusz region of western Poland, has one of the country's longest winemaking traditions, and the vine features prominently in the city's identity. Winobranie is a celebration of that heritage and of the growing number of local vineyards producing modern Polish wine.

More Than Wine

The festival programme mixes wine tasting with food, crafts, family activities, concerts and street performances, making it a city-wide event for residents and visitors of all ages.

Getting There

Zielona Góra is in the Lubusz region of western Poland, a few hours by road or rail from Poznań, Wrocław and Berlin. That makes the festival an easy weekend trip for visitors from across western Poland and eastern Germany. The Wine Town and main stages are in the city centre, so most festival venues can be reached on foot.

Planning for Next Year

  • Book accommodation early — the city gets very busy during festival week.
  • Visit a vineyard on the Lubusz Wine Trail before or after the festival.
  • Check the official programme on the city's website for concerts and parade times.
  • Drink responsibly — alternate with water, eat well and never drink and drive.
